Can you tell me more about copywriting?
A copywriter creates engaging and persuasive text, or "copy", to market products, services, or concepts to a target audience. The goal is to convince readers to take a specific action, such as buying something, attending an event, or signing up for a mailing list. I help brands do this with copy for:
social media (LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, Tik Tok)
email marketing and newsletter (Substack, Beehiiv)
website or landing page development (wireframe, copy)
marketing materials and creative assets (print, digital)
Who do you usually work with?
I’m industry agnostic, but I have done a lot of B2B. I’ve worked with attorneys, VC firms, brand consultancies, executive coaches, and SMBs. Content and writing is king, queen, and everything in between. I can work with anyone.
How do I know if I’m a good fit?
Your business is growing and you’re looking for someone who you can plug in as a creative director, social media manager, and publicist rolled up into one tidy package. I don’t work with early stage startups for equity, and I also don’t work for people looking for a cheap option freelancer.
What’s it like to work with you?
Typically I run a three month exploratory period with a new client. You get to know me, I get to know you. We set the plan and projects in motion and go to work. If we decide to keep working together after that, we can set up a longer agreement. Regardless of the area you’re focusing on, you should have it in your mind that this is an investment. You’re putting money into building your thought leadership plan, your relationships, and expanding your digital presence. Most of these things take time. I call myself a partner for a reason—I’m not looking for one-off projects. I’m here to build alongside you.
Do you have examples of your work?

How much do your services cost?
Pricing is simple: We look at the project and scope it out.
I don’t generally do hourly. I work on a project or retainer basis. My question is, “how much value can I bring?”
I know you were looking for a neat and tidy answer but it is a case by case basis. For one project, I’m writing website copy. The next, I’m producing 50 pieces of content for social media.

I’ve been married to my wife Julie for 14 years and we’re the parents of six wonderful children. I’m from Cleveland, she’s from Washington state. I’m a taco afficionado, rock music lover, and enjoy a good beach trip. I’m a teacher at heart, but the protective shell around it is a wrestler who enjoys writing. Go figure.
